This is the new big-mouthed X5 from Hartge, a firm world-renowned for its subtle tuning programmes for BMWs. Like the Z3M Coupe or 1-Series, it's built with a whacking great 5.0-litre V8 under the bonnet. The new car, nicknamed Road Runner, is based on the diesel X5 and features a new front spoiler, rear skirt and two-piece side sills. A modified ECU 'performs absolute miracles', according to Hartge. Why bother?
Why not just buy a proper car?
Even if you do live on a farm and actually need a Range Rover or
equivalent, the extra you would pay for this would easily cover the
cost of something interesting to drive at the weekends.

Good point Same goes for the X6.
If BMW had used the money spent developing the X6 elsewhere we might
have a proper mid-engined M1 replacement by now. If Audi can build an
RS8 I'm sure BMW can do a new M1.

I'm sorry, as a tuner, Hartge may be on the same level as like Alpina,
AC Schnitzer, Hamann, Dinan, TC Kline, even Turner Motorsport, to name
a few, but when I see the name, I think of a clown car like its famous
6 series nose here:
